Barely one week after a plug door blew off of an Alaska Airlines plane midflight, there could be more problems for the airplane manufacturer, Boeing.

An All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight in Japan was forced to return to its home airport in Sapporo  after a crack in the cockpit windshield was discovered.

The airplane was manufactured by Boeing.

There were no injuries.

"The crack was not something that affected the flight's control or pressurization," an ANA spokesperson said.

Despite that, the incident comes at a troubling time for Boeing. The cause of the crack is unknown. There were a total of 65 passengers and crew on the flight. The entire windshield will likely need to be replaced.

The ANA incident came on a Boeing 737 Max but not the same 737 Max-9 model as the Alaska Airlines mishap on January 5, 2024. All Boeing 737-9 aircraft have been grounded by the Federal Aviation Administration.
