Unruly Passenger in Trump Hat Delays United Flight

A United Airlines flight bound for Newark, New Jersey was delayed several hours in Shanghai Sunday after a man refused to move from another passenger's seat.
According to NBC Bay Area, the elderly man was wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat and became increasingly disruptive after being asked to exit the plane at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
Passengers on United Flight 187 were later forced to deplane while local law enforcement responded to the incident.
A spokesman for United said the unruly passenger "eventually left the aircraft on his own accord."
Citing a man whose father was on the flight, NBC New York reported that the man asked to be upgraded to first class. After his request was denied he allegedly went to the back of the plane and refused to let anyone sit in his row.

United thanked passengers for their patience and credited its staff for handling the situation professionally.
The delayed flight was also required to make an unscheduled stopover in San Francisco so that a new crew could take over. It arrived in Newark at 2:22 a.m. Monday, more than eight hours after its scheduled arrival time.
