Amtrak unveiled the “Big City Savings Sale,” which provides travelers with discounts of up to 30% on regularly priced Northeast fares for bookings made between July 9 and July 15, 2026, and travel between August 1 and September 30, 2026.

The sale is available for service on Acela Business Class, Northeast Regional Coach and Coach Class, and on a selection of other trains serving Boston and Washington, D.C.

“Summer travel should be fun, affordable and relaxing – and that’s exactly what the ‘Big City Savings Sale’ delivers,” said Jessica Davidson, Amtrak’s vice president of digital & brand management.

“Nothing beats a Northeast summer, so whether you’re catching a show, a game, or just want to explore a new place, it’s the perfect time to take it all in, and enjoy great savings,” she added.

One-way Acela fares start at $88 from Philadelphia to New York, $95 from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C., $130 from Washington, D.C. to New York and $82 from Washington, D.C to Wilmington, Delaware.

One-way coach fares start at $36 from Philadelphia to New York, $42 from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C., $60 from Washington, D.C., to New York, and $39 from Washington, D.C., to Wilmington.
