Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Dream already had some Fun Ship 2.0 features rolled out onboard, but after completing yet another refurbishment, several new designs were added again. The 130,000-ton ship was dry-docked in Freeport, The Bahamas and has now relaunched from New Orleans, Louisiana where it continues on year-round weeklong Caribbean cruises.
Added to the Dream were several new dining and bar venues including Guy's Pig & Anchor Barbeque Smokehouse, BlueIguana Cantina, Alchemy Bar, Pizzeria del Capitano and Bonsai Sushi.

The Smokehouse is a new concept from celebrity chef Guy Fieri that complimentarily serves the likes of Championship Pork Butt, Blue Ribbon Chicken, smoked Andouille sausage, Sliced Smoked Round of Beef and traditional sides out on the promenade deck. The eatery joins Guy's Burger Joint which had been previously delighting guests' stomachs.
Another Carnival signature in the form of the BlueIguana Cantina has also been added wherein passengers can get a freshly prepared burrito or taco poolside for free in homemade tortillas and top it as desired at the adjacent salsa bar. Plus, Bonsai Sushi is now along for the ride with sushi, sashimi and bento "ships," as well as Asian beers and cocktails amid a Far Eastern decor.

The 24-hour free pizzeria has also been rebranded to Pizzeria del Capitano with Margherita, quattro formaggio, mushroom, prosciutto and pepperoni varieties available. Lastly, the Alchemy Bar is a new watering hole where the "cocktail pharmacy" features lab coat-donning mixologists who prescribe elixirs such as Forty is the New Twenty and The Restorative Basil Drop.
Meanwhile, the Carnival Dream still showcases a WaterWorks aqua park and waterslide, Serenity adults-only retreat, Cloud 9 Spa, Ocean Plaza, Seuss at Sea and family staterooms. The ship sails roundtrip from New Orleans on three different itineraries. Western Caribbean ones stop at Montego Bay, Cozumel and Grand Cayman, or Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan), Belize and Cozumel, and a third one heads east to Key West, Freeport and Nassau.
