Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, Disney Adventure, is one step closer to launching.
Crews floated the ship out of Meyer Werft’s building hall in Wismar, Germany, on Saturday. A tugboat pulled the vessel into the shipyard harbor while fireworks went off. Spectators cheered the ship as it went, along with Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse.
Now, the ship is docked in a new location for the next few months while crews continue construction. They’ll focus much of their attention on the vessel’s interior, but they will also be installing the iconic Disney Cruise Line funnels on the upper decks. Disney Adventure will feature four funnels, instead of the usual two.
“Soon, we will start to see the addition of the iconic yellow lifeboats on the sides of the ship and thrilling new attractions, including Marvel Landing’s Groot Galaxy Spin and Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever coaster, Ironcycle Test Run,” according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Disney Adventure is slated to debut from Singapore in December.
