Holland America Line is launching a $70 million, multi-year expansion and renovation project at its Denali Lodge property in Alaska.
Once complete, the project will allow the cruise line to welcome more guests to the lodge during add-on land tours after their Alaska voyage.
Crews will start work this year, focusing on making enhancements to the riverside interpretive trail with scenic viewpoints, improving on-site wayfinding, refining the restaurant menus and improving public spaces in the Cottonwood and Canyon Lodge guest room buildings.
In 2026, they’ll shift their focus to remodeling 48 guest rooms and Karstens Public House, including expanded indoor and outdoor searing. They’ll also add a new coffee shop.
In 2027, crews will build a new guest room building on the property, with 120 suites and rooms. They’ll also renovate the main lodge and incorporate a new restaurant concept, a new lobby bar and an enhanced coffee experience.
Last spring, the company also renovated McKinley Chalet Resort, its 68-acre hotel property near the entrance to Denali National Park.
