No other brand comes close to what Norwegian Cruise Line offers as much dining variety at sea, but with so many choices may also come a great deal of confusion. The company itself has even drafted a fleet grid outlining all the complimentary and specialty options per ship to help.

Complimentary
The entire fleet features at least two main dining rooms, its newest ships-Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Escape-featuring three. Here's where you'll find a mix of cuisines nightly. Also, available on every ship is some form of 24-hour eatery or pub, a buffet and 24-hour room service, although Norwegian states a convenience charge may apply to the latter.
Also nicely complimentary are certain Asian restaurants, noodle bars, hot dog stands or tapas bars that could otherwise be deemed specialty on select ships.
Specialty
The complimentary eatery breakdown is the easy part. Specialty restaurants, or those that incur a surcharge, are a little harder to follow, probably because there are nearly 20 types of cuisine listed across the fleet.
Culinary genres available on every ship at a la carte pricing are Le Bistro or Jefferson's Bistro for French; Cagney's steakhouse and La Cucina, il Adagio or La Trattoria for Italian. Most ships additionally feature the Moderno churrascaria for a flat $24.95 per person, Teppanyaki for $29.95 and a sushi restaurant priced a la carte.
The Norwegian Dawn is unique for being the only ship that has the Los Lobos Cantina Mexican restaurant, and only the Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway showcase the Ocean Blue seafood restaurant and The Raw Bar, all at an a la carte cost.

The newest Norwegian Escape features the most unique a la carte-priced dining venues with Bayamo by Jose Garces, Pincho Tapas Bar by Jose Garces, District Brew House, The Cellars and Food Republic by the Pubbelly Restaurant Group, altogether found nowhere else in the fleet.
Also unique to the three newest ships (Breakaway, Getaway and Escape) are Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville at Sea, plus Dolce Gelato and The Bake Shop treats. Other cafe varieties are available fleet-wide. Offerings are additionally available at the Vibe Beach Club or Posh on the aforementioned trio and Norwegian Epic. All again are offered a la carte.
Otherwise, for a meal and a show, the Breakaway, Getaway, Escape, Epic and even Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Gem offer dinner and lunch performances costing between $23.60 and $47.19 per person flat.
Private
Finally, the Breakaway, Getaway, Escape and Epic all feature private complimentary dining for guests in The Haven ship-within-a-ship complex. The Haven Restaurant is on all four ships, The Haven Lounge is on the newest trio and The Courtyard Grill and The Haven Lounge are both on the Norwegian Epic.
