Heavy metal and hard rock fans, rejoice! Officials announced details about the ninth-annual Monsters of Rock Cruise.
The cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas will depart from Miami on February 24, 2019, and return March 1. The voyage will visit two ports, including Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and the Private Isle of Labadee.
Tickets for the cruise went on sale last week, and prices start at $1,299 per person, based on double occupancy. Government fees, taxes, and gratuities are additional and mandatory for all passengers, regardless of age.
As for some of the bands scheduled to perform during the Monsters of Rock Cruise, travelers will be treated to a line-up that includes Tesla, Tom Keifer, Extreme, Queensryche, Saxon, Skid Row, Kings X and more.
The voyage will feature Eddie Trunk as the official cruise host, who will be conducting artist interviews throughout the journey. The heavy metal adventure will also host Q&A sessions, specially designed music events and comedy performances from Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine.
Before the 2019 Monsters of Rock Cruise, the Mariner of the Seas will undergo a $100 million makeover that will add new dining and bar alternatives, plus an array of new features and attractions for travelers.
Passengers on the rock and roll cruise will be able to enjoy some of the events and activities found on the Mariner of the Seas, including boogie boarding at the FlowRider Surf Simulator, scaling the rock-climbing wall, taking a dip in one of the many hot tubs and pools, being pampered in the world-class Vitality at Sea Spa, bouncing on the Sky Pad trampoline experience, sliding down the Perfect Storm race slides and enjoying an onboard escape room.
