Norwegian Cruise Line Announces Global Itineraries for 2020 and 2021

Norwegian Cruise Line announced new 2020 and 2021 global itineraries for 12 of its 17 ships, including the first voyages of 3,998-passenger Norwegian Encore. The new voyages include sailings in Alaska, The Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada and New England, Europe, Asia and the South Pacific.

Alaska

The 49th state itineraries will include sailings aboard 3,883-passenger Norwegian Joy visiting Juneau, Ketchikan and Icy Strait Point as well as Victoria, British Columbia from April 2020 through October 2020. The 4,000-passenger Norwegian Bliss will offer seven-day cruises calling at Victoria, British Columbia and Juneau, Ketchikan and Icy Strait Point in Alaska beginning April 24, 2021.

Norwegian Encore will begin Alaska sailings on May 2, 2021, with calls at Victoria and Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. Beginning May 10, 2021, Norwegian Jewel will offer cruises to Vancouver, British Columbia and Seward, Alaska. All of Norwegian Encore's Alaska itineraries will feature visits to Glacier Bay.

Caribbean

Beginning April 13, 2021, 3,963-passenger Norwegian Breakaway will offer five, seven and nine-day eastern, western and southern Caribbean cruises from Miami. Eastern Caribbean sailings feature calls in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian's private Bahamian island.

Western Caribbean cruises will feature visits to Roatán Island, Honduras; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye, Norwegian's private port of call in Belize. Norwegian Breakaway's southern Caribbean cruises will visit Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curaçao; Kralendijk, Bonaire; and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

Bermuda, Canada and New England

Norwegian Joy will homeport in New York City beginning April 14, 2021, from where the ship will offer Bermuda, Canada and New England itineraries. Seven-day Bermuda cruises will offer guests three days to explore the island, while five-day Canada and New England voyages will feature calls in Portland, Maine and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Beginning April 18, 2021, 2,394-guest Norwegian Gem will offer seven-day Bermuda cruises from Boston and seven-day Canada and New England cruises from Boston and from Quebec City, Canada. Ports of call will include Bar Harbor and Portland; Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; Saguenay, Quebec; and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Europe

Beginning April 25, 2021, 4,100-passenger Norwegian Epic will offer seven-day itineraries from Barcelona, Spain and Civitavecchia, Italy (the port for Rome) with visits to Naples and Livorno (the port for Florence and Pisa) Italy; Cannes, France; and Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

Beginning May 2, 2021, 2,340-passenger Norwegian Dawn will sail the Greek Isles from Venice, Italy, offering seven-day voyages to Kotor, Montenegro; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos and Argostoli, Greece.

Starting April 29, 2021, 3,969-passenger Norwegian Getaway will offer 10 and 11-day cruises to the Greek Isles and Italy from Civitavecchia with calls in Kotor, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos and Athens, plus Naples and Livorno, Italy.

Meanwhile beginning May 28, 2021, 4,266-passenger Norwegian Escape will offer nine-day cruises to the Baltic region from Copenhagen, Denmark with calls to Warnemünde, Germany; Tallinn, Estonia; Helsinki, Finland; Nynashamn (the port for Stockholm) Sweden plus an overnight call in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Asia and the South Pacific

Beginning May 9, 2020, 1,996-guest Norwegian Spirit will offer 11 to 15-day itineraries sailing from Tokyo, Japan and Hong Kong, China. The voyages will feature calls in Shanghai and Beijing, China; Osaka, Okinawa, Mount Fuji (Shimizu) and Sapporo, Japan; and Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan.

Norwegian's 2,376-passenger Norwegian Jewel will offer French Polynesia, Hawaii, and South Pacific cruises in the spring seasons of 2020 and 2021.

The 11 to 21-day sailings will depart from Sydney, Australia; Papeete, Tahiti; Honolulu, Hawaii; and Vancouver, British Columbia and feature visits to Bora Bora, Moorea, Raiatea, and Nuku Hiva, French Polynesia; Lautoka, Suva, and Dravuni, Fiji; Noumea, Lifou, and Ille des Pins, New Caledonia; Mystery Island, Espiritu Santo, and Port Vila, Vanuatu; and the Big Island, Maui, Kauai and Oahu, Hawaii.
