The acquisition of Prestige Cruises International just closed, but there are already changes in the management ranks at the new Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
Camille Olivere, the high-profile and well-liked senior vice president of sales for Norwegian Cruise Line, has left the company. Her last day was Nov. 19.
"I think I really made a difference while I was there," Olivere told Travel Pulse. "Travel partner engagement improved and team member engagement improved. I'm just ready to move on to my next adventure. The company has gone from good to great, and I'm really grateful to have been a part of it."
Her departure was announced in an email to travel agents signed by Andy Stuart, whose title was listed as executive vice president-sales. That suggests his responsibilities have also changed as his previous title was executive vice president of global sales and passenger services. In the email, Stuart said the sales team will report directly to him.
"As with any new journey, we will encounter some changes along the way and so it is with sadness that I share with you that Camille Olivere, senior vice president of sales for the Americas, will be leaving Norwegian Cruise Line. Since she joined the team in 2009, Camille was instrumental in developing several key areas of the business, including building our business across our North American travel partners and strengthening our relationships with all of our key partners during a period of unprecedented growth.
"Her efforts helped us earn numerous sales and industry awards and she played an integral role in establishing Norwegian as a leader in our segment of the cruise market. The entire Norwegian Cruise Line family deeply appreciates the role Camille has played in our company's unparalleled success over the years and we thank her for her many contributions during her time as a Norwegian."
