Oceania Cruises will venture into uncharted territory beginning in late 2016.

The cruise line announced its 2016-17 winter itineraries Wednesday, revealing plans for 60 new voyages and 19 new ports of call.

In total, Oceania's 2016-17 Winter Collection will comprise 89 sailings spanning six continents.

A majority of the new ports of call are located in Australia, but the cruise line is also scheduled to debut at ports in Papua New Guinea, Belize, Quebec, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand, California, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.

Plus, Oceania's newest ship, Sirena, will make its winter season debut next year, sailing more than a dozen voyages through the Caribbean and Pacific. The highlight of Sirena's first winter schedule will be a 16-day Christmas-time cruise from Miami to Los Angeles that passes through the Panama Canal.

Oceania will offer at least six cruises that traverse the Panama Canal during next year's winter season.

Meanwhile, Oceania's Insignia will sail 45,000 nautical miles over the course of the Around the World in 180 Days cruise departing Miami in January 2017. The six-month journey will take guests to 98 different ports in 36 countries on six of the planet's seven continents.

Cruise travelers eyeing a shorter trip can choose from any one of eight segments offered along the 180-day cruise.

Oceania's Regatta, Nautica, Marina and Riviera will also be busy during the 2016-17 winter season, offering voyages all around the globe ranging from several days to several weeks.

"The addition of Sirena gives us greater flexibility when it comes to itinerary planning, allowing us to explore more destinations and offer a greater variety of cruise options," Oceania Cruises' President and Chief Operating Officer Jason Montague said in a statement. "Our Winter Collection for 2016-17 includes a beautifully blended mix of must-see, bucket list travel destinations and undiscovered jewels only accessible by our fleet of intimate and luxurious ships."

Oceania also announced that it has extended its early booking incentives program, OLife Advantage, to include all 2016-17 Winter Collection sailings. Therefore, guests who book before Dec. 31 will be eligible for complimentary amenities that include free shore excursions, unlimited Internet access and pre-paid gratuities.

Guests can explore Oceania's 2016-17 winter itineraries in more detail on its official website.
