Oceania Cruises is sharing more details about its 2027 Alaska season, featuring seven-, 10- and 11-day voyages aboard Oceania Riviera departing from Seattle and Vancouver, as well as a longer itinerary connecting Alaska and Japan.
The season will include calls at popular Alaska destinations such as Ketchikan, Sitka, Juneau and Skagway, along with smaller ports including Wrangell, Klawock and Haines. Select itineraries will also feature scenic cruising through Holkham Bay Glacier Fjords or past Hubbard Glacier.
The sailings will operate between May and September 2027, with itineraries ranging from seven to 11 days. The cruise line is also offering a 27-day voyage from Vancouver to Tokyo, departing September 13, 2027, that includes stops in Alaska before crossing the Pacific to Japan.
"A cruise in Alaska offers the chance to explore and enjoy some of the most incredible scenery in the world," says Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises. "Guests can embrace a true sense of adventure throughout the day, knowing they will return to the elegant comfort of Oceania Riviera."
Shore excursions will include helicopter flights to Mendenhall Glacier, dog sledding, whale and wildlife encounters, visits to floating oyster farms and locally led culinary experiences.
Among the featured excursions are a tour of the Hump Island Oyster Company floating farm in Ketchikan, followed by a hands-on seafood cooking class; a tour aboard a king crab fishing vessel featured on the television series "Deadliest Catch;" and a helicopter excursion from Juneau that includes dog sledding near Mendenhall Glacier.
Other options include a guided hike across Norris Glacier, a historic walking tour of Skagway and a metal art workshop in Sitka.
Oceania Cruises is also offering pre- and post-cruise land programs for travelers looking to explore more of Alaska and western Canada. The Discover Denali program includes stays in Anchorage and Denali National Park, along with a journey aboard a deluxe dome railcar.
The Rocky Mountaineer: Western Wonderland program features seven nights in Calgary, Banff, Kamloops and Vancouver, including two days aboard the Rocky Mountaineer. Another option, Vancouver: City, Sea & Summits, includes three nights in Vancouver and excursions along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, around Howe Sound and to Granville Island.
