Ponant and Smithsonian Journeys are back with another year of co-branded sailings for 2026.
The two companies are once again teaming up to offer 36 voyages—the highest number of departures since Ponant and Smithsonian Journeys began collaborating in 2022.
In addition to returning favorites, the two brands are unveiling seven new itineraries for 2026, including trips to Madagascar, the Seychelles, Vietnam, South Africa, Namibia and Indonesia. They will also offer a new solar eclipse sailing in the Western Mediterranean for the August 2026 eclipse.
Each voyage has at least two Smithsonian Journeys experts, who offer lectures and lead discussions about the region’s history, language, environment and wildlife. Cruises are offered aboard Ponant’s fleet of 14 French-flagged small ships, such as Le Bougainville and Le Jacques-Cartier.
