With a first-of-its-kind itinerary for the line, Princess Cruises has announced a 60-day roundtrip voyage.
Traveling from Los Angeles to Shanghai on the Coral Princess, the cruise departs on September 18, 2018, and will call at 22 destinations.
The 1,970-guest vessel will visit 11 ports in the 28-day first leg of the voyage. She'll cruise through Alaska, cross the International Date Line to North Asia and then reach Shanghai.
The return voyage from Shanghai begins on October 18, 2018. It will call at ten ports in North Asia, Southeast Asia, and Hawaii before ending in Los Angeles. The trip can be purchased in two individual segments.
To meet the increasing demand from the Asian market, Princess has launched other maiden voyages from the region.
"Princess Cruises launched our new line-up of maiden voyages from Asia to meet the growing demand from guests in this region," said Farriek Tawfik, director Southeast Asia, Princess Cruises. "Fly-Cruise programs are gaining popularity among travelers from Asia who are now more open to flying to another destination to embark on a cruise. We see this trend growing among Asians who love the sense of adventure and the glamour of cruising,"
Sapphire Princess sailed a maiden Singapore to Southampton cruise in March after the ship underwent a dry dock. Sapphire Princess is now homeporting for the first time in Southampton and will sail in northern Europe and the Mediterranean through October 2018. She'll then sail a maiden Southampton to Singapore voyage on October 21, 2018.
The ship's fifth season of homeporting in Singapore begins in November.
