Just in time for its return to Hawaii, Princess Cruises has completed a a two-week multi-million-dollar refurbishment of its Star Princess.
From its beds to its boutiques, the ship has been thoroughly enhanced.
"Star Princess now offers many of the signature product innovations our guests have come to love, including the Princess Luxury Bed, Camp Discovery Youth & Teen Center and revamped Sabatini's," said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president, in a press release. "These enhancements continue our $450 million multi-year ship renovation campaign, 'Come Back New Promise', enhancing our onboard guest experience."
First up is Sabatini's Italian Trattoria, which has been refreshed with an updated decor and menu crafted with Chef Angelo Auriana, Executive Chef and partner at The Factory Kitchen and Officine BRERA. Dishes like handmade pastas take their inspiration from Northern Italian flavors while others come from family recipes of Princess' own Italian executive chefs.
The Princess Luxury Bed is now in every cabin so guests can enjoy the efforts of board-certified sleep expert Dr. Michael Breus and famed HGTV designer Candice Olson. The collaboration pairs the science of sleep with the best in design.
Also in partnership with Discovery Consumer Products, the licensing arm of Discovery Communications, the Camp Discovery Youth & Teen Center has been remade for kids and teens aged 3 to 17. The new club now extends the Discovery at Sea program with three central themes so they can better make new friends and enjoy all the activities therein.
For adults, the Shops of Princess have been revised, including an Effy Fine Jewelry boutique and a Fragrance & Cosmetic store. The redesigned logo shop also has a new set of Princess and Under Armour apparel.
Meanwhile, the Lotus Spa & Fitness Center has also seen its salon and treatment rooms enhanced and the gym now has the latest equipment.
