Silversea's Silver Whisper will undergo extensive renovation this year, ahead of her World Cruise 2019. The ship will be in dry dock in Freeport, Bahamas, from December 8 -19, 2018.
The wide-ranging enhancements will bring Silver Whisper's design and décor in line with those on the line's flagship, Silver Muse. Public areas will receive new carpeting, draperies and furnishings. The Zagara Spa, recently added to Silver Whisper following its success aboard Silver Muse, will gain new furnishings and high-tech equipment.
All staterooms aboard Silver Whisper will be refreshed. New 40" flat screen televisions, loaded with innovative interactive media systems will be added. And all bathrooms will be revitalized with polished granite surfaces. Additionally, nine Terrace suites on deck five will be transformed into Veranda suites.
Storage space for Zodiacs and a crane will be installed on Silver Whisper in preparation for the addition of the motorboats for the World Cruise 2020. The ship will travel to all seven continents on that itinerary.
Silversea is also partnering with Radiopark-a specialist supplier of mood music-to enhance the ship's onboard atmosphere.
The Silver Whisper's renovation is part of the line's ongoing investment in its fleet. It includes the launch of Silver Muse in 2017, the conversion of Silver Cloud to an expedition ship and the current extensive renovation and lengthening of Silver Spirit.
