At a time when there's a shopping frenzy around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection is mixing it up and celebrating Giving Tuesday by announcing a partnership with ME to WE and offering a new volunteer experience in India.
The pre-cruise extension to the Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges itinerary option allows guests to participate in a development project at a local community associated with WE Charity. It provides the opportunity to work alongside families in the Rajasthan region for five days, being immersed in the culture, lifestyle and geography.

Projects include laying bricks for a classroom and digging a new clean water system for better irrigation, as well as tie-dying and block-printing and visiting the Kumbhalgarh Fort. Other activities encompass the Indian cultural practice of morning yoga.

The global partnership with ME to WE is part of a broader one with the TreadRight Foundation and The Travel Corporation and its seven brands including Uniworld. The overall social enterprise is meant to provide genuine traveling impact products and experiences visiting three international destinations.

The ME to WE Immersive Volunteer Trip extensions for 2016, 2017 and 2018 Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges voyages use private Araveli Cottages and Tented Camp as home base, and daily meals showcase Indian cuisine crafted by ME to WE chefs. Ground transfers, transportation and excursions are included and guide-hosted. The cost of the extension ranges between $2,075 and $2,850 per person, and the Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges cruise starts at $8,174 per person.
What's more, half of ME to WE's net profits goes towards its charitable partner while the other half goes towards growing the enterprise and its social goals.
