People aren’t leaving their dogs at home when they go on vacation. They want their best puppy friend to join them on an adventure, to make memories together.
However choosing a pet-friendly destination was easier said than done, until now.
According to new research by bycomparethemarket.com, Long Beach, California, Mesa, Arizona, and Atlanta, Georgia, are the three top cities to travel with your dog companions. Sacramento and Seattle were also high on the list.
The research broke down the number of dog salons, training centers, kennels, vets and parks relative to the population of the city.
So, for instance, in Long Beach, there are 985 training centers, over 445 kennels and 259 dog grooming salons. With so many dog-friendly spots, your puppy will be completely cared for when you visit this beachy destination in California.
The U.K. is a top destination for Americans, so if you decide to bring your pooch across the pond, you’ll be happy to know that Nottingham is the top spot for a dog-cation as there are over 16 large parks and 14 dog salons.
Liverpool follows in second place, with Hull, Birmingham and Edinburgh close behind.
