The Disney Parks Blog announced new culinary offerings coming to the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort this spring, including three new Mexican dining experiences and Din Tai Fung, a Michelin-starred restaurant brand from Taiwan.
Opening this May are three new Mexican dining experiences spearheaded by Mexico’s first Michelin-starred chef, Chef Carlos Gaytán. His three experiences, Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita, will each offer a different flavor of traditional Mexican cuisine.
Paseo will offer an upscale dining room and bar area with an outdoor patio, and guests will savor the lamb barbacoa, ceviches, cochinita pibil and other Mexican favorites at the sit-down restaurant.

Céntrico, on the other hand, is a courtyard bar and restaurant focusing on tequila-based cocktails and other Mexican favorites, like chicken enchiladas, tlayuda, quesabirrias and Caesar salad (which was created in Mexico!).
Tiendita offers another take on Mexican food: this time, in the form of street food. Guests can enjoy an easy self-ordering system where they can try out equites, fish tacos, ice cream tacos, chilaquiles and more.
Later this summer, the renowned Michelin-starred restaurant brand from Taiwan, Din Tai Fung, will open a restaurant in the Downtown Disney District, offering signature Xiao Long Bao, wontons, noodles, steamed buns and more in a family-style setting.
Additionally, meat lovers will rejoice with a new steakhouse restaurant and barbecue joint coming in the near future.
The new restaurants are part of a Downtown Disney District overhaul, which was detailed in January of this year. Other new upgraded dining experiences include the Parkside Market, which itself offers four distinct dining options, including a Korean restaurant and a Caribbean restaurant.
