During the month of December travel advisors can take advantage of special hotel rates and exclusive offers from our hospitality community, through New Orleans & Company’s Holiday Travel Advisors independent familiarization trip.
For more than a decade, New Orleans & Company has teamed with its hospitality partners during the month of December to help showcase the city for travel advisors across the country. It’s a collaborative effort that gives travel advisors the opportunity to experience the city firsthand, while enhancing the city’s visibility and accessibility, and benefiting the travel industry.
“Holidays New Orleans Style” offers experiences that will mesmerize visitors and locals alike, including surrounding themselves with hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights draped across centuries old oak trees in the month long displays at New Orleans’ City Park. “Celebration in the Oaks” also offers visitors both walking and driving tours to get you in the holiday spirit. New Orleans is also home to world renowned restaurants, with many offering special pre-fixed holiday Réveillon dinners. Holiday festivities also include caroling in Jackson Square, a wealth of shops for holiday gift buying in the French Quarter, the Warehouse District and Magazine Street.
“New Orleans during the holiday season is a truly magical place,” said Kim Priez, Senior Vice President of Tourism at New Orleans & Company. “Travel advisors can immerse themselves, in a unique blend of our festive holiday traditions, rich culture and warm hospitality, while enjoying great deals and learning what New Orleans has to offer year-round. These customers are critical in driving our tourism economy.”
NOLA Christmas Fest at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, which brings a winter wonderland of fun holiday options for all, like indoor ice skating and ice sliding. Yet another not to miss event in the city during the holidays is The New Orleans Polar Express Train Ride, which will take you to relive the magic of the famous movie as the train is filled with characters and the smells of hot chocolate and cookies.
While taking advantage of hotel rates during the Holiday FAM, travel advisors can also request a VIP Pass to use during their stay. The pass provides travel professionals exclusive access to discounts and special offers at participating restaurants, museums, and other popular attractions around New Orleans.
