New Orleans is one of America’s culinary capitals, and with good reason. And August is one of the best times to visit the Crescent City, thanks to the return of COOLinary New Orleans.
At COOLinary, which runs from August 1-31, restaurants across the city provide a discounted way to sample some of the best gastronomy here. Visitors can enjoy specially curated multi-course prix-fixe meals with prices as low as $28 for two-course lunches and $58 or less for three-course desserts and brunches. (Menu prices do not include beverages, taxes, or gratuities.) Plus, for the second year in a row, “COOLinary Cocktails” at participating locations allow you to sit back and sip come of the most innovative libations in NOLA.
There are already 125 participating restaurants, with many more expected to sign up in the coming weeks. The range of cuisines—as is expected for an international city like NOLA—is incredible, including: Creole, seafood, Italian, Cajun, Asian, Latin/South American, Greek, Mediterranean, Soul food, steakhouses, American, and French.
The restaurants are across the city, too, and not just in the French Quarter. You’ll find options in the Garden District, downtown, the Arts District, Mid-City, Jefferson Parish, Lakeview, Treme, Northshore, Westbank, the Convention District and more.
