Las Vegas is always adding things to do to keep residents and tourists alike engaged.
Now you can add one more.
The city will introduce an event called the Neon Festival to be held in November. It is a music, art and culinary event for all ages. It is being billed as a “festival without fences.”
The event will be held in downtown Las Vegas, away from the busy Las Vegas Strip. The city has long tried to entice people to go downtown, including the introduction of the Fremont Street Experience.
It has even used professional sports as a way to lure more people to town. Las Vegas now has a professional hockey team, professional football and is negotiating to relocate the Oakland Athletics professional baseball team to the city. It even has a Formula 1 race car event that debuted last year.
It also hopes to attract a professional basketball team and has hosted the National Basketball Association All-Star Game in the past in addition to the NBA Summer League.
