Capping off an ongoing renaissance, the Mazatlan Tourism Board has launched a brand-new website, GoMazatlan.com, giving visitors and the travel trade quick and easy access to essential tourism information.
The new website was an important complement to the ongoing restoration of the destination.
"Mazatlan itself, has been going through a renaissance of late," said Marco Garcia Castro, secretary of tourism for the state of Sinaloa. "With all of the improvements made, including enhancements to our four-mile long oceanfront promenade and bike path, a restored Centro Historico that preserves our French, Italian and German architectural roots, new parks and city centers, delicious local and international cuisine and much more, it was a logical next step to redesign our website to showcase all that is new and better in and around Mazatlan."
The new website uses colorful new photography and video to tell the story of Mazatlan. The website has also updated its content to reflect the destination's hotels and resorts, restaurants, tourist attractions, activities to enjoy and close-by places to explore.
The new "Souvenir Stories" section gives visitors a place to write their own notes and upload photos of their visit to Mazatlan, and the "Snaps" section features social media images shared using the hashtag #SouvenirStories.
The site also features a new and improved calendar of events, an active newsroom, a registration page to sign up for an electronic newsletter, sweepstakes and more.
