Trevi Fountain Restoration Sees Visitors’ Experience Sorely Downgraded
Travelers in Rome are finding a bit of a disappointing experience with one of its most iconic monuments, the Trevi Fountain. Restoration efforts have led to the fountain’s closure, with a small walkway allowing 130 travelers at a time to walk above and view the fountain as it’s being repaired. No coin-tossing for travelers hoping to return to Rome for at least the next few weeks.
Reopening Date Announced for Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral
After five years of extensive rebuilding and restoration, the iconic 14th-century Cathedral de Notre Dame de Paris will once more welcome residents and tourists alike within its walls. The city will celebrate a grand reopening ceremony on December 7, just as the church year enters its Advent season.
The World’s Costliest Destinations: Here’s Where Travelers Spent the Most Money in 2024
Squaremouth’s new report reveals where travelers have spent the most money this year—and the list might just surprise you. In the top ten, only three are outside the continent of Africa: Antarctica, South Georgia and the Shetland Islands and French Southern Territories and the Antarctic Lands. Other costly destinations include Tanzania, Djibouti, Botswana, Zimbabwe and more.
Visit Portugal Shares Tourism Updates and What’s New

New Orleans’ New Partnership Will Help The Disabled
The Big Easy is partnering up with accessible travel company Wheel the World to start making New Orleans more accessible for all. The city will have at least 60 hotels, businesses and attractions take part in an initial accessibility assessment that begins in December.
