If you're still on the fence about who you're rooting for in Super Bowl LI tomorrow, watching this adorable video created by the Georgia Aquarium will probably have you "rising up" for the Falcons. Or it might have you skipping the game altogether and researching "airfare to Atlanta" instead.
The Georgia Aquarium released its "rise up" video yesterday, in support of the home team, and it's spent much of the day trending on social media.
A number of cuties from the Aquarium's all-pro, line up star in the video, including a sea otter completing a pass catch that could put Julio Jones to shame. Good thing the otter doesn't have Jones' agent or the Georgia Aquarium would have to start talking salary caps.
One of the aquarium's penguins is also filmed kicking a football down a football field. He seems to think he's kicking a soccer ball, though, but that's okay, as this little guy is an African Penguin so he probably doesn't have much experience with American football. Many of the penguins at the Georgia Aquarium are part of a Species Survival Plan (SSP), developed by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), which help ensure the continued survival of these species.
If you're rooting for the Patriots, you might not want to visit the Aquarium wearing fan gear, or a pair of dolphins might just show you what's what. The pair is filmed spitting water at trainers wearing Patriots jerseys.
Other animals featured in the video include seals, sea lions and beluga whales, who all seem to give their wholehearted approval for the Falcons.
The animals at the aquarium have been celebrating since the Falcon's playoff win, with plenty of cuteness on social media.
The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere. Admission is generally $31.95 for adults and $27.95 for children, but special promotions are often available, as are add-on packages.
A number of area hotels, including the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Hyatt Regency Atlanta and Omni Hotel and CNN Center offer special aquarium packages. The Georgia Aquarium maintains a "Preferred Hotel Packages" page for the most current offers.
