Have you ever been to a city and just fallen in love — and not just because it’s aesthetically gorgeous, but also because everything there seemed easy, and the people welcomed visitors with open arms? Places like these cities are why Conde Nast Traveler began asking travelers to rate a city’s friendliness. The results are in.
According to the survey, Charleston, S.C., is the friendliest city.
“People speak to each other!" "The city is so lovely and easy to get around on foot.” “Charleston is by far my favorite city!," says another reader. "It has the charm of the South, the sophistication of the city, and a warmth and friendliness that is unmatched,” said one reader.
And the world’s unfriendliest city…Tijuana, Mexico.
Tijuana still suffers from a reputation of being dirty and unsafe, reports Conde Nast.
But the editors note that there is still a bright side.

“Like many of these so-called unfriendly cities, though, there are signs of hope: notably, a blossoming food and craft brewery scene that some compare to San Diego’s,” they write.
While these may be the winners (and losers) find out what other cities made the list here.
