Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift to Debut This Summer at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will open this summer. The new attraction will be the destination’s first high-speed outdoor roller coaster.

Located on the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood, the roller coaster features 360-degree rotation technology that will spin guests at up to 72 mph. The 4,100-foot track travels over multiple sections of the theme park. 

The launch of the new attraction is accompanied by an ad campaign featuring Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel.

The 30-second spot is set to air within several high-profile sporting events, including Super Bowl LX, the Winter Olympics and the NBA All Star Game. 

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will kick off the 25th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise and celebrate its final theatrical release, Fast Forever, slated for March 17, 2028.

The newest roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood joins a long lineup of attractions, including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash and Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride.
