Visitors to Las Vegas will be able to zip line high above The Strip by the end of 2018.

Caesars Entertainment has announced plans for a $20 million zip line system above The LINQ Promenade, a first for the Las Vegas Strip.

Dubbed Fly LINQ, the attraction will feature 10 side-by-side zip lines capable of launching riders at the same time.

Riders will board an elevator at The LINQ Hotel & Casino before arriving at the 122-foot-tall launch tower. There, they'll be fitted for gear and ultimately launched 1,080 feet east above The LINQ Promenade open-air dining, retail and entertainment district. Guests will exit at the High Roller.

Caesars said riders will be able to ride seated or in the superman position.

A pair of automated gear retrieval lines will keep queues moving by sending the equipment back to the launch tower for reuse.

Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in spring of next year with completion slated for late 2018.

"Fly LINQ will further establish The LINQ Promenade as a must-visit destination, particularly for distinctive Las Vegas entertainment experiences," said Bob Morse, Caesars' President of Hospitality, in a statement. "This new experience will join The LINQ Promenade's growing number of thrilling and memorable entertainment, dining and retail options."

Xventure LV, LLC will develop the zip line while Themed Development Management will help manage the project. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the latter company developed the structure for the 77-foot-tall SlotZilla zip line, which opened on Fremont Street in 2014.

It's not clear how much tickets could cost, but The LINQ Promenade's general manager, Shaun Swanger told the Review-Journal the zip line could become part of a package deal.

Nonetheless, given Fly LINQ's unique locale above The Vegas Strip, the attraction is poised to instantly become one of the world's most coveted rides.
