Six Flags unveiled plans for a complete digital transformation—with help from The Digital Alliance—to revolutionize the guest experiences as part of a first-of-its-kind project that has a heavy focus on new AI technology.

"Our guests are at the heart of everything we do, and this digital transformation is a testament to our commitment to providing unparalleled experiences where technology meets fun and excitement," Six Flags CEO Selim Bassoul said. “AI allows us to enrich and personalize every guest touchpoint.”

The planned AI Focused improvements include:

  • A new AI-powered website that will launch this year and include personalization, a new upcoming loyalty program, and an AI concierge called Missi Six, which will also be available on the mobile app.
  • An all-new revamped mobile app that will include mobile food ordering, interactive park navigation, and customized recommendations for guests.
  • A digital wallet which will allow guests to make purchases easily anywhere in the park.
  • Improved real-time photo and video capturing so guests can instantly view high-quality photos and videos of their riding experiences.
  • Launching a new metaverse gaming platform as well as the largest e-gaming initiative in the theme park industry.
  • Sensors that tell guests the accurate wait times of each ride.
  • Automated three-second toll plaza entry, which allows for quicker parking.
  • The introduction of the world's most advanced AI-powered anti-drowning system.
  • Revamping their point-of-sale ecosystem with 3,200 new devices and 1,000 handheld POS devices.

"We are transforming Six Flags into a technology-centric entertainment company. With the formation of the largest global digital alliance in the theme park industry, we are setting the foundation to lead with innovation and digital excellence," Chief Digital Officer of Six Flags Omar Jacques Omran said. “Six Flags is reinventing amusement, making every moment more personalized and efficient."

Besides AI, Six Flags is also planning on several other improvements, including:

  • Self-serving food and beverage kiosks.
  • Being able to order food and beverages without the app simply by using QR codes and NFC technology.
  • Self-checkout options available on kiosks and the app, so guests will no longer have to wait in line for purchases.
