Who hasn’t competed for the highest score on the classic and popular Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Tomorrowland?

Cast members and Disney Imagineers who know the attraction best, have provided a number of insider tips on how Space Rangers can land their highest score possible. And thanks to new enhancements, the experience is designed to feel intuitive and welcoming with refreshed gameplay and multiple paths to success to those traveling “to infinity and beyond.”

Tips to Consider for Your Next Mission

• Aim for the center of every target to make each shot count.
• Harder-to-hit targets are worth more points. Aim for targets further away. The greater the distance or more challenging to hit, the more they’re worth.
• Watch for different targets that light up or look different. These targets are worth extra, often times double the normal value. You’ll know when you them randomly illuminate with a white outer ring. The multicolor ringed target, however, is the most rare and valuable and if not hit in seconds, will reappear elsewhere.
• Try different strategies as there’s more than one path to the Galactic Hero designation. Some Space Rangers rely on precision and difficult shots, while others focus on adaptability and timing.

New Enhanced Ride Updates

• Brand New Scene as guests are greeted by a new character- a friendly robot named Buddy who’s joined the Star Command Team. Buddy’s job is to help prepare departing Space Rangers by practicing your aim before the true point adventure begins.
• New Ride Vehicles and Hand-Held Blasters provide a fresh look inspired by the colors of Buzz Lightyear and Star Command. Onboard video monitors deliver real-time scoring updates and other features.
• Interactive Targets have been upgraded with a new technology with white or multicolored rings around them. Check your blaster color which will appear as either red or green. This color will also appear on target whenever you hit the center to indicate success.
