To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Super Nintendo
World, Universal Studios Hollywood is offering new ways to level up, including a
new Power Up Cafe, a commemorative Golden Power-Up
Band, and limited-edition merchandise.
On February 15, Universal Hollywood will open the Power Up
Cafe on New York Street, located on the Upper Lot inside the park. The grab-and-go
cafe will serve a menu of Super Mario Power Up themed menu items available
exclusively at the location.
Snacks available at the new cafe include Super Mushroom
Calzone, 1-Up Mushroom Calzone, Fire Flower Pretzels and Super Star Popcorn.
The Power Up Cafe will also offer Fizz drinks that can be customized by
dropping sugar shapes inside to change the color and flavor.
As for the commemorative, special-release Golden Power-Up
Bands, they will be available for purchase within the land and at Super
Nintendo World retail shops located in the theme park, starting on February
17.
In addition, theme park visitors will also receive a
complimentary 1-Year Anniversary Button. The special commemorative collector
piece will be available beginning on February 17 (while supplies last) at Guest
Relations.
Earlier this week, Universal Orlando announced its new five-world
theme park, Universal
Epic Universe, expected to debut in 2025. Video game lovers will love being
transported into Super Nintendo World, where they will visit through the iconic
green pipe portal and play alongside iconic video game characters like Mario,
Luigi and Princess Peach.
