Everyone wants to be the go-to person for inside secrets, tips, and tricks, especially with under-the-radar restaurant knowledge. We have all heard of the secret menus at fast food and quick-serve restaurants, but what about the fancy resorts? With these insider scoops below, you too can be the guy or gal with all the hook-ups.

The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village - Cape Coral, Florida

The general manager of the resort is from Canada, and one of his favorite dishes is poutine. For those who don't know, poutine is typically French fries with mounds of fresh cheese curds and thick brown gravy poured over the top. Resort Executive Chef Tait has developed the recipe, and has even put creative twists on the dish using local ingredients and fresh fish. Ask for it at the resort's Marker92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro.

The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa - Tucson, Arizona

While hanging in Tucson and staying at the Westin La Paloma, should you happen to fall a little under the weather, do not worry. While not on the menu at the on-property restaurant AZul, Ginger Essence Chicken Noodle Soup is available to guests who are looking for a little bit homemade pick-me-up comfort.

JW Marriott Grand Rapids - Grand Rapids, Michigan

If you are a social media guru, here is a tip: Upon check-in to the JW Marriott Grand Rapids, post to your Twitter or Facebook account that you have arrived. The hotel will secretly place a sugar cookie in your hotel room with the logo of the social network that you chose.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - New York, New York

Del Frisco's in NYC is right in the middle of the theater district, making it a popular destination for an upscale steak experience. Wanna go whole-hog? Ask for the non-menu item thick-cut bacon as a side. For dessert, ask for Del's Delight, an off-menu must-have made with just three indulgent ingredients: Nocello (walnut liquor), dark creme de cacao, and vanilla ice cream.

Kitano New York - New York, New York

If you are in the Big Apple and not feeling 100 percent, you are in luck if you are staying at Kitano New York. Executive Chef Yukihiro Sato makes a Energy Boost Genki Soup containing "nutrient-boosting ingredients such as plum paste (with anthocyanins for anti-inflammatory help), garlic (relieves hazy fatigue), and onion (quercetin-rich, a natural anti-histamine) in his traditional Japanese steamed egg custard and potherb soup, served with traditional green tea (to decrease mucus)."

Where do you go and order off a special menu? Have you been customizing a dish the same way for so long at your favorite restaurant that they just name it after you? Let me know in the comments below.
