Baltimore loves its sports.
Each fall, Charm City turns purple in support of the hallowed Ravens. In the summer months, you'll find Orioles Park at Camden Yards rocking with Baltimoreans cheering on the home team.
You don't need a ticket to the game to enjoy yourself, though, because the city is home to plenty of stellar sports bars.

Pickles Pub
No list of the top sports bars in Baltimore can be taken seriously if it doesn't include Pickles Pub.
This Baltimore institution has been around for more than a quarter-century and boasts one of the best atmospheres of any sports bar in the city thanks to its proximity to Orioles Park at Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium.
Happy hour runs a generous 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. here, and you certainly can't beat 2-for-1 pitchers. Other happy hour specials that'll preserve your budget include 10 jumbo wings for $8 as well as $2.50 import and craft drafts.
HDTVs are also plentiful at Pickles, so guests don't have to worry about missing any action on the field.
City Limits Sports Bar
South Baltimore's Locust Point neighborhood is where you'll find City Limits Sports Bar. The atmosphere is likely to be more laid back here, but 19 HDTVs mean that no game goes unseen.
Stop by on a Friday for an extended happy hour from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you want to eat like a local at 'The Limit,' try an order of Old Bay wings or crab mac n' cheese. Both City Limits' happy hour and wings have been recognized among the best in Charm City.
Max's Taphouse
Passionate about beer and sports? Don't leave town before experiencing Max's Taphouse.
This bar boasts a robust rotating beer selection. More specifically, Max's is stocked with 1,000 bottles, more than 100 taps and five casks. The food is also excellent. Maryland-inspired options include Eastern Shore sliders, the crab pretzel and Max's Chicken Chesapeake.
Since Max's is cigar-friendly, you can even feel free to light up a victory stogie.

Slainte Irish Pub
Slainte Irish Pub is just a two-minute stroll from Max's and is a must-visit when in Fells Point.
This traditional Irish pub loves its soccer and has been voted the city's best soccer bar time and again. Slainte, which has linked up local growers and butchers to ensure freshness and quality, has also been featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. In fact, Slainte's food has so been well received that they've even launched a mobile food truck.
Weekday happy hour here runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and traditional Irish music sessions begin at 7 p.m. every Tuesday.
Wiley Gunter's
While Washington Redskins and Virginia Tech Hokies fans will especially feel at home at Wiley Gunter's, this Locust Point sports pub is sure to be a hit with almost anyone thanks to its diverse food menu and endless beer list.
Wiley Gunter's has every sports fan covered with NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB Extra Innings and NHL Center Ice packages broadcast on a dozen different televisions, along with actual games like shuffleboard, darts and foosball.
This bar is housed inside an 112-year-old building, so it has plenty of charm as well. Established in 2012, Wiley Gunter's is one of the city's newer sports bars, but it's catching on nicely.
