Earn More With Priceline Rewards Visa
Features & Advice Holly Johnson January 25, 2018

If you’ve shopped around for the best deals on travel in the past, you’ve likely considered the prospect of using Priceline.com. This website offers several different ways to save money on hotels, airfare and more through “tonight-only” deals, vacation packages and ongoing “express deals” that feature the lowest prices on various accommodations.
In case you didn’t know, Priceline has also partnered with Barclaycard to offer a rewards card aimed at helping consumers score even more free travel. And now, the rewards are better than ever.
As of January 15, 2018, you’ll earn even more rewards for signing up for the co-branded Priceline.com credit card: the Priceline Rewards Visa. The rewards you earn will be especially lucrative for purchases made on the Priceline website, but you’ll also rack up points for shopping elsewhere in-person or online.
Here are the basic details of this limited time offer:
—Sign up for the card and earn 10,000 bonus points worth $100 in travel after your first purchase
—Earn 5 points per $1 spent on eligible Priceline.com purchases
—Earn 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases
—No annual fee
—No foreign transaction fees for purchases made abroad
In addition to these very generous offerings, the card also provides additional perks to be aware of. For example, signing up will get you online access to your FICO score for free. This card also comes with price protection—a perk that will refund you part of your purchase price on eligible items if you find a lower price within 120 days.
Last but not least, you’ll get a 10 percent point rebate when you redeem points for statement credits toward eligible Priceline.com or travel purchases of $25 or more.
While rewards credit cards are known for dreaming up complicated redemption processes that make using your points a pain, the Priceline Rewards Visa stands out by making this part easy. In short, you can redeem your points for a statement credit for any purchase on your account that is $25 or greater (25,000 points or more) and posted within the last 120 days.
In other words, you don’t have to redeem your points for travel. Any purchase will do.

However, you do get an incentive for redeeming points for travel purchases. As mentioned already, you’ll earn 10 percent of your points back as a redemption bonus to use toward your next redemption every time you redeem for statement credits against eligible Priceline.com purchases and eligible travel-related purchases.
According to Barclaycard's terms of service, eligible travel-related purchases are determined by the merchant category code and include airlines, hotels, motels, timeshares, campgrounds, car rental agencies, cruise Lines, travel agencies, tourist attractions, discount travel sites, trains, buses, taxis, limousines and ferries.
While there are much more lucrative travel credit card offers out there, the Priceline Rewards Visa does offer an easy $100 cash-back after you make a single purchase. Without an annual fee to cover, this money is free for the taking if you bother to sign up and make a single purchase.

To leverage the card for the long haul, you should be someone who makes purchases on Priceline.com frequently. Earning 5 points per $1 spent on the discount website will allow you to rack up points quickly and earn more free travel over time
