Want to live a full, long life? Take a vacation!
Or at least that's what a new study out of Europe says.
The European Society of Cardiology tracked the habits of more than 1,200 men for over 40 years.
They discovered that the men who didn't use up all their vacation time from work had a 37 percent greater chance of dying than those who did.
Not taking time off from work can boost your stress levels, causing you to sleep less, all of which affects your cardiac health. The study found that this can result in a reduction of life.
Taking a vacation is, therefore, healthy for you!
In the U.S. more than half of American workers have unused vacation days by the end of the year, so more than half of Americans are not taking care of their cardiac and overall health.
So, listen to these cardiologists, take a vacation and live longer.
