The findings of a new United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) report reveal that global temperatures are on track to exceed limits set by the Paris Agreement that were meant to help avoid some of the worst effects of climate change.

A press release from Tourism Cares explains that the newly enhanced map “simplifies the journey toward sustainable travel, offering a user-friendly platform that makes it easy to explore and book stays and experiences with confidence.”
“By blending discovery with purpose, the new platform helps every kind of traveler turn intention into impact,” adds the press release.

Designed as both a functional itinerary builder for travel trade professionals and an inspiration hub for curious explorers, the new map offers:
- Interactive map-based discovery: Travelers can find impact-driven experiences at a glance across the globe.
- Stories behind every experience: Listings highlight the people, communities, and impact behind each business or organization, helping travel professionals and travelers feel more connected and confident in their choices.
- Smooth, mobile-friendly browsing: The platform is designed for quick loading and simple navigation on any device, making it easy to go from inspiration to action.
- Practical tools for the travel trade: Call-to-action buttons, filters, destination maps and itinerary tools help tour operators and advisors quickly add vetted sustainable suppliers into their planning process.
Another important benefit of the map: By making responsible choices more
visible and easier to act on, the new Meaningful Travel Map platform
also helps to strengthen local tourism supply chains and keeps more
tourism dollars circulating within the communities visitors come to
