Most people will never own a 1957 Chevy or a DeLorean DMC-12 in their lifetime, but that doesnt mean that you have to take it off of your to-drive bucket list. When you are traveling this year to some of the coolest cities in the country, remember it isn't how cool you are, it's how cool is your ride. So get out the duds, pump up the jams and get out of your dreams into your dream car. Here are a few places where when you are in town, you can arrive in style.
Classic Dream Rides - Fort Lauderdale, Florida
If you have ever wanted to drive a '57 Chevy or a '61 Rolls Royce, here is your chance. Fort Lauderdale is home to Classic Dream Rides and their inventory is awesome. A 1963 Lincoln Continental, a 1965 Ford Mustang, a 1969 Chevy Camaro, or even a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am nicknamed "The Bandit" are just a few of what they have in inventory.
They rent at the half day during the week or full day seven days a week. Half-day rentals include 50 free miles and full day rentals include 100 free miles per day. Additional miles are billed at $0.79 per mile. In order to rent one of these bad boys you need to have a clean driving history and a credit card. You can rent with a debit card, but they will throw a $1,000 deposit on top of the rental fee. They are open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday - Friday and weekends by appointment only.
American Classic Rides - Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Normally, Wisconsin is not the first place that someone is going to think of to rent a classic car but once you see the collection that American Classic Rides has available, you may make a separate trip. The good news is if you are in the Chicago area, they deliver almost anywhere in the metro for $100. How about a 1967 Ford Mustang convertible while you are tootling around Chi-town?
They have a lot of restoration/modifications in the collection that are real head turners. If you are looking for something a little classier, try out their 1965 Cadillac Coupe De Ville or their 1962 Lincoln Continental. If you are looking for real fun you can rent a true 1981 Delorean DMC-12 right out of the Back to the Future movies.
To rent here you have to be 25 years of age, carry full coverage personal auto insurance that covers rental vehicles, hold a valid state issued driver's license and show proof of all of these things at time of rental.
Regency Car Rentals - Los Angeles, California

Everyone in LA drives, so you might as well look good doing it. Regency Car Rentals specializes in exotic as well as classic cars for rent. They can rent you a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider or a Lamborghini Aventador just as easily as a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado or a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible.
But if you are looking for a Bentley, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, McLaren or even just a Plymouth Prowler, this is the place for you. Rentals are by personal quote only but they offer pick up, drop off, driver, and long term rental services. These guys are clearly first class.
Dream Car Rentals - Las Vegas, Nevada
If you are going to cruise the strip, don't do it in a taxi. First of all it will take you an hour and cost you a fortune, but second of all, you will look so lame in comparison to a convertible 1969 Pontiac Firebird. They don't have the biggest selection in the world, but if you are looking for a Jeep to take off road, they can help you out. ame thing if you need a luxury SUV because you are playing a baller that arrives in style.
You have to be at least 21 and for most of the big vehicles 25 to rent from them. The deposit for a credit card is twice the amount of a rental (and four times for a debit card), and you must have a drivers license and current insurance with proof of all of that as well. For the motorcycle guys and gals in the house, they also rent those, too. Also, they have a shuttle to get you from the airport and are open almost 24/7.
