Michelle Fee, CEO and co-founder of Cruise Planners, has been honored by EY as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2016 Award in South Florida.
EY refers to the global organization-and may refer to one or more-of the member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited.
The awards program, which is in its 30th year, recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
It has expanded to recognize business leaders throughout the world. Florida's award winners will be announced at a special gala on June 9 in Tampa, Florida.
"When I first dreamed of Cruise Planners, I never imagined it would be what it is today," said Fee. "I have to pinch myself when I think about being recognized as a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year and all the hard work the Cruise Planners family puts into the company.
"My greatest accomplishment is when I help other people succeed," she added. "I enjoy having a personal connection with our franchise owners, where I can share my travel industry knowledge while also positively impacting the bottom line. Traveling globally with our agents has allowed me to take my impact beyond the office and out into the world."
Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Representative, is a home-based travel agent franchise network which operates a network of more than 1,400 franchise owners.
