The Gran Melia Puerto Rico will rebrand and become the Melia Coco Beach.
The property will take on Melia-branded services and amenities and undergo renovations throughout the hotel as well as updates to food and beverage options.

The Gran Melia Puerto Rico was one of the first all-inclusive properties in Puerto Rico, constructed Sol Melia in 2002 and located in the Coco Beach area. It first opened in 2004.
Now, reborn as the Melia Coco Beach, the hotel will upgrade 120 guestrooms that will become part of its premium service concept, THE LEVEL, which includes upgraded amenities and facilities.

Guests staying in THE LEVEL rooms have access to a private restaurant for breakfast, a designated check-in and check-out lounge, preferential bookings at restaurants, concierge service, complimentary snacks and beverage throughout the day, upscale in-room amenities including THE LEVEL bathrobe with slippers and more.
The Romance by Melia program will also be incorporated into the upgraded property, which includes special services for couples. Through the program, couples are invited to enjoy the curated special services and packages designed specifically for wedding receptions, honeymoons and overall, romance at Meliá Coco Beach.
The resort will also feature Melia's children's programming. Families can take advantage of curated children's experiences and amenities.
Melia's YHI Spa is already available at the property as are three pools, including THE LEVEL pool experience and a kids' pool. Other upgrades will take place in phases throughout the resort.
