Palladium
Hotel Group is a Spanish hotel chain with over 50 years of experience, owned by
Grupo Empresas Matutes (GEM).
The group operates more than 40 hotels and over
13,000 rooms and residences, distributed among eight countries: Spain, Mexico,
Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Italy, Brazil, the USA and the United Arab
Emirates, and manages eleven brands: TRS Hotels, Grand Palladium Hotels &
Resorts, Palladium Hotels, Fiesta Hotels & Resorts, Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach
Hotel, The Unexpected Hotels, Only YOU Hotels, BLESS Collection Hotels, The
Site Hotel Ibiza, the Hard Rock Hotels Brand under license with two hotels in
Tenerife and Marbella and the ephemeral brand 45 Times Hotels.

spoke with Ana Morillo, Corporate Managing Director at Palladium to get a behind-the-scenes
look at the company’s operation.

TP: How
did Palladium Hotel Group do in 2025? Was it a successful year for the company?
AM: For Palladium Hotel Group 2025 was a year of elevating
brand standards through higher quality services, curated gastronomic
experiences, and renewed entertainment programs. Rather than focusing on
numbers, Palladium Hotel Group was dedicated to elevating the Caribbean
properties and perfecting the guest experience. Over in Europe, the brand
completed a major milestone with the grand opening of The Unexpected Hotels in
Ibiza marking a key step in the luxury hospitality sector. The Unexpected Ibiza
Hotel also became home to Gordon Ramsey's first ever Hell’s Kitchen restaurant
in Europe this past summer.
The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel redefines experiential luxury in
Playa d’en Bossa, blending avant-garde design, high-energy entertainment, and
deeply personalized service into a provocative, guest-centric escape. Designed
to surprise at ever turn, the hotel fuses immersive performances, elevated
gastronomy, and holistic wellness within an atmosphere of exclusivity,
creativity, and bold self-expression.
Born as an evolution Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel under a new
concept of disruptive luxury and with the aim of expanding internationally, in
2027 it will welcome its first project outside Spain with the opening of The
Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel & Residences, on the island of Al Marjan
in Ras Al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates).
TP: What were the highlights for 2025?
AM: Among this year’s standout highlights is the $61.5
million renovation in Punta Cana, along with the reopening of Grand Palladium
Select Bávaro and the introduction of the club Family Selection at Grand
Palladium Hotels & Resorts —marking the first club of the brand offering
outside Mexico. The resort has been fully revitalized with redesigned pools, guestrooms,
new restaurants and cafes, and refreshed programming for guests of all ages.
These openings reflect Palladium Hotel Group’s ongoing
commitment to reinvention, personalization, and elevated guest experiences
across its portfolio. Visitors can look forward to refined culinary concepts,
dynamic entertainment, and seamless access to multiple resorts within a
comprehensive all-inclusive ecosystem. From adults-only relaxation to
multi-generational amenities, these properties are thoughtfully designed to meet
the evolving needs of today’s discerning travelers.
Palladium Hotel Group has also elevated the guest experience
by enhancing its offerings, services, spaces, and programming through the
launch of the Grand Palladium Select Collection. Introduced in 2025, the
collection is now available in Costa Mujeres, Riviera Maya, and Ibiza, reinforcing
the brand’s commitment to elevated, guest-centric hospitality.
The Group has also announced an expansion in Jamaica with
the introduction of TRS Hotels (adult-only) at Grand Palladium Hotels &
Resorts Jamaica. The development will add more than 948 rooms to the resort and
deliver sophisticated, modern experiences for guests, further strengthening the
brand’s presence in the destination.
Additionally, the opening of The Unexpected Hotels in Europe
marks Palladium Hotel Group’s bold debut in luxury travel. The property boasts
world-class amenities, elegantly appointed guest rooms, and exceptional
culinary offerings—including standout experiences like an Oyster and Caviar
Bar—positioning it as a must-visit destination for luxury seekers.
TP: How has Palladium Hotel Group upgraded its offerings?
AM: 2025 was a year of exciting upgrades across Palladium
Hotel Group, marked not only by major property renovations but also by elevated
entertainment and culinary experiences that keep our resorts feeling fresh and
unforgettable. In addition to the extensive enhancements to spaces and
amenities, we refreshed and perfected beloved entertainment offerings—bringing
new energy to our daily programming, themed events,and guest-favorite show
concepts. The Group’s all-inclusive
branches rolled out enhanced entertainment programs like Bravo Dinner &
Dance, a lively, family friendly.
evening of gourmet dining, live music, and dancing that
keeps guests engaged night after night. CHIC Cabaret & Restaurant continued
to dazzle adults with its immersive dinner-show
experience, combining haute cuisine with spectacular choreography and music
spanning eras and genres. Across our properties, the entertainment team ensures
there’s something for every traveler—daily activities, themed parties,
workshops, family shows, and live performances that complement our high-quality F&B offerings and
truly elevate the guest experience.
TP:How did the company work with travel advisors
in 2025?
AM: Travel advisors are a vital element to Palladium Hotel Group.
Advisors are strategic in ensuring brand visibility to their own clients as
well as promoting offers and promotion.
To foster those relationships, the company attended multiple
trade fairs, conventions, and other worldwide events to strengthen
international presence. It also created Palladium PRO, keeping today’s travel
advisor top of mind—especially those navigating the growing demand for
multigenerational and group travel. This loyalty program recognizes and rewards
the hard work of advisors, wedding planners, and event organizers by offering exclusive
benefits. As more travelers seek personalized, expert guidance, Palladium PRO supports
advisors every step of the way—rewarding their efforts while helping them deliver
unforgettable experiences to their clients.
TP: Are there plans for expansion of Palladium Hotel Group?
AM: Yes—Palladium Hotel Group has ambitious expansion plans,
guided by a strategy of profitable growth in key global markets while
continuing to elevate its existing portfolio through new concepts and enhanced
guest experiences.
In the coming years, the Group will open several highly
anticipated properties across its diverse brands, including BLESS Hotel
Barcelona, marking the company's exciting returnto one of Europe’s most
sought-after destinations and a strategically important market for the luxury
brand. BLESS Hotels will also be making its debut in Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam making it the groups first opening in Southeast Asia.
Palladium Hotel Group also continues to reinforce its strong
presence in Playa d’en Bossa, Ibiza, consolidating the destination with a
balanced mix of all-inclusive and luxury offerings. This includes Grand
Palladium Select Palace Ibiza and Grand Palladium White Island Resort &
Spa, alongside iconic lifestyle properties such as The Unexpected Ibiza Hôtel, Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, TRS Hotel Ibiza, BLESS
Hotel Ibiza, and the exciting opening Only YOU Hotels in Ibiza in 2027.
Palladium Hotel Group has also announced The Site Ibiza
bringing together hospitality, retail, art and culinary creativity. The project
includes two luxury hotels, The Site Hotel Ibiza that has been fully renovated
and The Unexpected Ibiza. The Site Ibiza also offers a gastronomic hub
featuring renowned brands like Hell’s Kitchen, StreetXO, and Sublimotion to
name a few. This project is positioned as a new flagship destination for Mediterranean
travelers.
International expansion remains a key focus, highlighted by
the upcoming opening of Only YOU Hotel New York, Other Only YOU hotels are planned
for Venice, Italy, and Ibiza, Spain, further expanding Palladium Hotel Group’s lifestyle
footprint across Europe and the Americas.
At the same time, Palladium Hotel Group is strengthening its
leadership in the Caribbean through significant renovations and resort
expansions in Jamaica, Brazil and the Dominican Republic, while exploring new
growth opportunities in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, including a future

TP: Why is the company launching a New York hotel?
AM: Palladium Hotel Group’s decision to bring Only YOU Hotel New
York to Manhattan is driven by both strategic and brand-alignment reasons. New
York City naturally aligns with the Only YOU Hotels brand’s focus on
lifestyle-driven experiences, local connectivity, and socially vibrant spaces,
making it a perfect match for travelers and locals alike. The hotel’s prime
Midtown location on West 45th Street—just steps from Times Square and Broadway—positions
it at the heart of one of the world’s most iconic cultural, entertainment, and
tourism hubs, reinforcing its appeal to both business and leisure visitors.
Designed by acclaimed Spanish designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán,
the 138-room property will reflect the brand’s signature blend of contemporary
sophistication, urban energy, and comfort, with thoughtfully curated common
areas, flexible service offerings, and high quality F&B concepts designed
to be enjoyed by guests and locals alike. The hotel will feature a restaurant
and bar with a unique culinary and mixology offering inspired by New York’s
cosmopolitan character, versatile social spaces, and flexible meeting areas
that support everything from intimate dinners to small gatherings.
