Ritz-Carlton Tokyo Unveils New Dining Venues

The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo may have just turned itself into a foodie’s paradise.
The property has begun a new culinary chapter with the opening of three dining venues—two that have been refreshed and renewed and one that’s brand new for the property.
Azure 45 and Towers, the luxury property’s existing venues, underwent a stylish transformation, while La Boutique is a new pastry and chocolate offering, according to a statement from the hotel.
With a design inspired by an “East meets West” concept, Azure 45, the Tokyo hotel’s acclaimed Michelin-starred modern French restaurant, is now a mix of rich Japanese textiles, warm woods, and comfortable curved seating.
As for the food, the offerings will continue to be exquisitely visual and creative takes on modern French cuisine developed by Chef de Cuisine Shintaro Miyazaki. Among the notable menu items are such entrees as “Roasted Pigeon of Racan” and a “Spring Vegetable Ravioli, Hamaguri Clam Jus” dish that was designed to capture the essence of the colorful season by serving a trio of raviolis in delicate shades of green.
By contrast at Towers, the newly reopened contemporary grill, food is focused on being luxuriously simple. Dishes are based on wholesome and seasonal ingredients sourced from high-quality suppliers across Japan and beyond.
Among the menu choices are Akaushi prime rib and fresh seasonal fish caught by local fisherman. Towers also offers a relaxed weekend brunch and a signature lunchtime dessert trolley.
If you’re a chocolate lover, the The Ritz-Carlton property's new La Boutique Chocolates & Pastries is not to be overlooked. Located on the 45th floor, the café is devoted to the sweeter things in life and showcases the handcrafted creations of celebrated French Pastry Chef Jimmy Boulay.
Signature cakes in bold, contemporary cube shapes and a rainbow of hues are among the showstoppers. Cake flavors will change with the seasons. There will also be 12 different types of artisan chocolate pralines.
Cakes will available for order to go or can be enjoyed along with a cup of coffee at the new café.
Occupying the top nine floors and the first three levels of the 53-story Midtown Tower, The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo also includes a world-class spa and 245 guest rooms and suites.
The property also offers 360-degree panoramic views of Tokyo including Tokyo Tower and Japan's Mt. Fuji.
