Since its debut just a little more than six years ago, the St. Regis Mexico City has played a pivotal role in setting a new standard for luxury not only in Mexico but throughout Latin America.

It is easy to see why. First, there's the hotel's central location and design. The distinctly modernistic property was designed by renowned architect Cesar Pelli, rising 31 stories above the Paseo de la Reforma, one of the loveliest - and liveliest - avenues in Mexico City.

"Taking advantage of our ideal location in one of the world's greatest metropolises, we strive to make each stay memorable for every type of traveler, from leisure guests visiting for the weekend to corporate clients looking to extend their stay and explore the destination," said Andrea Carneiro, director of sales and marketing for the ultra-luxury property.

For starters, the property offers its guests the utmost in luxurious accommodations and public areas.

Its 189 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites feature sweeping views of the city are equipped with ultra-luxurious amenities, cutting-edge technologies as well as the 24/7 services of St. Regis Butlers, a signature feature of St. Regis properties around the world.

In fact, superlative service is one of the hallmarks of the property, notes Carneiro. "We distinguish ourselves from our competition with our unparalleled standards of personalized service, including the signature St. Regis Butler Service that is available to every guest and our top-notch team of Les Clefs d'Or certified concierges, along with unique customer service-focused innovations."

The hotel has also made a name for itself on the culinary front, featuring the J&G Grill, a concept designed by famed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten; the Diana Restaurant, featuring a modern Mexico menu; The Decanter Room, possibly the city's smallest restaurant, with two signature tasting menus; and the King Cole Bar, a signature St. Regis bar with distinct food, wine and spirits.

The two-story Remède Spa, meanwhile, houses the city's first panoramic indoor pool and full-service spa offerings, including facials, massages, nail care and waxing services.

Beyond its culinary and spa offerings, the property also works toward ensuring that guests' stays feature an array of experiential elements. "We have debuted several distinctive amenities that create authentic experiences for the leisure segment and truly highlight our incredible destination, including the Cultural Curator service and 48 Hours in Mexico City package," said Carneiro.

The Cultural Curator service is broken down into three categories - kids and family, art and architecture, and history and culture - provides guests with access to exclusive exhibits, curators, and events.

The 48 Hours in Mexico City package provides guests with customized two-day getaways designed to showcase the city's arts, culture and cuisine.

Guests will also find a roster of events and activities on site. "Clients who visit regularly or for the first time will always find new additions during each stay, such as Bubbly Thursdays, a weekly social event in our King Cole Bar," said Carneiro, adding that the elegant Krug Room is scheduled to debut in March and will offer The Chef's Table by Krug, a culinary experience for just 12 diners.

The property also recently debuted the Candela Romero, a sophisticated and contemporary dining experience on the hotel's ground floor, and also features in-suite glamping for families and kids.

For another kind of experiential vacation, Carneiro recommends that agents promote the concept of city-beach vacations, combining stays at the St. Regis Mexico City stays with stays at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, which is a short flight away.

In Carneiro's view, one of the St. Regis Mexico City's strongest selling points is the city itself "One of the greatest aspects of Mexico City, which was recently voted as one of the top 10 cities to visit in Travel + Leisure's Travelers' Choice Awards, is that it offers something to appeal to every travelers' passion, from couples and families to foodies, culture lovers, and fashion or design enthusiasts," he said.

And while Mexico City earns accolades, the St. Regis Mexico City adds its own contribution to the trophy case with its win in the 2015 Travvys.
