The brand new LEGOLAND Hotel at LEGOLAND Florida Resort isn't set to open until May 15, 2015. Nonetheless there was a much anticipated arrival in Winter Haven, Florida, this week.
The iconic LEGO dragon model was delivered and assembled out front of the LEGOLAND Hotel, joining the LEGO bellhop and three other recent model arrivals.
Construction crews with cranes and harnesses were joined by Master Model Builders who worked as a team to carefully position the dragon model on top of the clock tower, where it will breathe fire and wow guests as they make their way into the hotel later this year.
On Thursday, LEGOLAND Florida posted a 40-second video of the arrival and construction to its official YouTube account, which can be seen below:

Once complete in the coming months, the five-story, 152-room LEGOLAND Hotel will feature more than 2,000 LEGO models created out of more than two million LEGO bricks. Each room inside the hotel will include a minimum of eight LEGO models to entertain guests.
Representing the hotel's four themes, a LEGO knight, pirate and adventurer have already arrived at the Florida property, with a fourth and final model and theme to be announced soon.
Once in operation this spring, the new LEGOLAND Hotel will offer guests exclusive access to the LEGOLAND theme park, which is conveniently within walking distance from the property.
