America's oldest operating brewing company is moving forward with plans for a beer-themed hotel and tourist attraction in Tampa, Florida.
According to URBN Tampa Bay, the project calls for 200 hotel rooms, a microbrewery, a beer garden, a tasting room, 12,700 square feet of restaurant space, a Yuengling museum and 5,900 square feet of conference space.
The hotel would be located next door to the main brewery near the University of South Florida.
Yuengling, which was established in 1829, will continue discussions at a rezoning hearing scheduled for September 12.
The news comes less than a year after Scottish brewery BrewDog opened its first DogHouse craft beer hotel in Columbus, Ohio. Highlights of the 32-room property include in-room taps pouring fresh draft beer and shower refrigerators.
While beer lovers wait to see what happens with Yuengling's Tampa project they can quench their thirst in one of these 25 premier beer destinations in 2019.
