After issues continued to cause flight delays and cancellations for American Airline's regional carrier PSA Airlines over the last week, company officials revealed tech teams had finally stabilized its computer systems.

PSA Airlines operates about 12 percent of American's 6,700 daily flights and the carrier is working to return to regular operations after being forced to cancel all flights Tuesday morning.

American's regional carrier will operate a reduced schedule over the next few days as it restores service and gets the proper aircraft and crews where they need to be to resume operations. The technical issue is not impacting any of the airline's other regional carriers or mainline flights.

Officials from American revealed they are rebooking passengers and the company's customer relations department continues to reach out to all affected customers.

Passengers traveling in or out of North Carolina's Charlotte Douglas International Airport are dealing with a technical glitch for the second time this week, which is causing more flight delays and cancellations.

According to WFMYNews2.com, American Airlines regional carrier PSA was forced to issue a ground stop Sunday and officials said flight schedules would be impacted Monday through noon local time.

"We understand that these cancellations have been frustrating for our customers, and we are doing everything in our power to get things back to normal as quickly as possible," an American Airlines spokesperson told WFMY News. "We are rebooking passengers and American's customer relations department will be reaching out to all affected customers."

American Airlines is dealing with a major headache Friday as hundreds of flights were canceled due to a technical glitch.

According to THV11.com, officials from American revealed a technical issue with its regional carrier PSA Airlines caused the cancellation of 275 flights on June 14 and another 400 flights Friday.

The technical issue left hundreds of passengers stranded at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, as well as impacting travel plans for customers at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in Highfill, Arkansas.

Airline officials revealed they had resolved the problem and were working to resume their operations at 11 a.m. CST. An American spokesperson said the carrier was working to accommodate impacted passengers on flights in the afternoon.

Technical issues and power outages can cause havoc, as it did in December when an electrical failure at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport resulted in the cancellation of around 1,200 flights.
