The woman is yet to be identified, but was flying from Los Angeles to Sydney, according to reports from Australian authoritiesand CNN. Law enforcement found the illegal drugs after the woman was selected for random screening.
Cocaine also found stashed in clothing and makeup products. Further testing needs to be done to determine the exact weight and purity of the cocaine. The woman is scheduled to appear in court immediately and is charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug, namely cocaine.
A recent study-shared here by Business Insider-showed that cocaine use is extremely high is Sydney compared to the rest of the country, and that drug uses (especially methamphetamine) is a bigger issue in Australia than some may realize.

Meanwhile, criminals trying to get past airport security is nothing new. Travelpulse recently wrote about two men attempting to wear something akin to cocaine leggings who were stopped by U.S. Customs. We've also had flight attendants and fake pilots arrested for smuggling.
The story that takes the cake, though, is of Canadian Melina Roberge who instagrammed what looked like the trip of a lifetime through several known areas of high drug activity and then made her way to Australia where she was promptly arrested by police who were eagerly awaiting her arrival.
