With Winter Storm Argos already creating blanketed snow conditions in parts of the northern Plains, Weather.com reports it is just the beginning.
According to the website, Argos "will spread heavy snow and strong winds into the Great Lakes and interior Northeast this weekend." The storm has already made its presence known dropping over a foot of snow in the Rockies and bringing wind gusts from 30 to 50 mph to parts of the northern Plains and Upper Midwest.
Storm warnings stretch across Michigan to Upstate New York and Vermont with Saturday night's forecast showing snow in Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Syracuse areas with rain and a mixture in surrounding parts.
"Moisture wrapping around that aforementioned secondary, sprawling Québec low will also wring out snow not just over the higher elevations of the Northeast, but also in some lower elevations of the interior from Pennsylvania to the Mohawk Valley and northern New England," according to the article. "This snow is expected to continue through Monday night in some areas."
Wyoming and Montana also fell victim to Argos measuring 10 to 20 inches of snow in areas "wiping out an almost 20 inch season snow deficit in Lander, Wyoming."

Nebraska: 6.0 inches in Newport and near Sutherland
North Dakota: 5.7 inches near Whitewood
South Dakota: 9.5 inches in Parker
Utah: 9 inches near Grand County Airport
Wisconsin: 5.0 inches in Maple
Wyoming: 20 inches about 18 miles west of Lander (est'd by SNOTEL sensor)
