Another security lapse at a major airport, this time in London, as a woman walked onto a commercial flight without having a single corresponding document that would have allowed her to do so.
How she was able to get past security was the big question being asked at London's Gatwick Airport Friday after police arrested a woman who boarded a plane with no identification, no boarding pass and no passport.
The easyJet flight was delayed after the airline had all passengers go through security a second time following the incident.
Police believe she may have entered the boarding area through a restricted area somewhere at the airport for the flight to Tenerife.
"The delay was caused by additional security screening of all passengers. This was carried out as a precaution after a passenger attempted to board without the correct documentation. EasyJet's staff alerted the local police," easyJet said in a statement regarding the 75-minute delay.
