WHY IT RATES: The important leadership changes are poised to benefit the travel advisory community across the United States.—Patrick Clarke, TravelPulse Senior Editor

The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) today announced several key promotions and strategic additions to its leadership team, reflecting the association’s commitment to continued growth, member service, and industry leadership.

Sarah Little has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Business Development, where she will continue to oversee ASTA’s efforts to drive strategic partnerships, expand revenue opportunities, and deliver value to both members and industry partners. Little joined ASTA in 2012 and has played a critical role in increasing revenue, enhancing the Association’s events and fostering strong relationships across the travel ecosystem.

In addition, Michael Schottey has been promoted to Vice President of Membership, Marketing and Communications. Schottey, who joined ASTA in 2022, has helped elevate ASTA’s brand presence. In his expanded role, he will continue to focus on delivering impactful messaging, increasing the association’s member programs and services as well as promoting travel advisors and their services to the traveling public.

ASTA also welcomes Aleksandra Biskoup as the association’s new Vice President of Finance. Biskoup brings more than 20 years of financial management experience across the nonprofit and association sectors, with a strong background in financial strategy, technology, budgeting, and operational excellence.

Rob Fleming has been promoted to Senior Director of IT Program Management. He was elevated to ASTA’s senior leadership team late in 2024 and manages the association’s technical needs from its technology stack to database management.

“These personnel moves reflect ASTA’s ongoing commitment to cultivating talent, recognizing exceptional contributions, and aligning our team to best serve our members and the travel advisor community,” said Zane Kerby, ASTA President and CEO. “With these leaders in place, ASTA is well-positioned to continue advancing our mission of supporting and advocating for the travel advisor community.”

Alongside these leadership changes, ASTA is also pleased to announce the following internal promotions and position changes:

Jason Boeckman has been promoted to Director of Marketing. Pam Bonin has transitioned to Director of Membership Engagement and Retention. Andrea Caulfield has transitioned to Director of Membership Sales. Jasmine Causey has transitioned to Director of Data Management. Todd Wallace has transitioned to Director of Industry Affairs. Gwen Lane has been promoted to Manager of Chapter Relations. Teagan Webster has been promoted to Senior Coordinator, Events.

In addition to the above changes, ASTA previously announced the launch of ASTA Corporate and promotion of Mark Meader to Executive Vice President to lead this new initiative supporting corporate travel agencies and travel management companies (TMCs).

Erika Richter, Vice President of Communications has also announced her retirement from the association after 10 years.

The organization is also making a number of additional hires in membership, advocacy and communications.
