Classic Vacations, the #1 rated luxury travel advisor resource, today announced the appointment of Jon Bennett as Global Head – Luxury Experiences. Bennett brings more than 26 years of experience working closely with luxury travel advisors, his passion and expertise lying in the curation and delivery of unique and bespoke travel experiences, from start to finish.
Bennett joins Classic Vacations following 26 years with Abercrombie & Kent where he led luxury travel operators in the UK, Italy and Croatia, developing a deep understanding of what it takes to bring complex, high-end trips to life for travel advisors. Having personally traveled to nearly 100 countries across six continents, Bennett brings extensive firsthand destination knowledge to Classic Vacations.
“Luxury travel goes beyond securing great accommodations,” said Bennett “I believe it is equally important that a Classic Vacations guest experiences a destination in a way they didn’t know was possible. I look forward to bringing that approach to Classic Vacations and working alongside advisors to uncover the people, places and experiences that can turn a well-planned trip into something truly exceptional.”
With Bennett’s appointment, Classic Vacations and TBO.com continue to elevate its key leadership, investing in the people and resources that support its travel advisor community, building upon its advisor-first philosophy that has defined the company for nearly 50 years. With his global perspective and longstanding experience working with advisors, Bennett will strengthen Classic’s luxury offering and personally support advisors as they create extraordinary journeys for their clients.
“Jon’s global experience and perspectives are a valuable addition to our team here at Classic Vacations as we continue to deepen our core focus on luxury experiences,” said Sharon Conway, Chief Financial Officer and Interim CEO of Classic Vacations. “His leadership will open the door to new possibilities for how we support travel advisors in creating exceptional journeys for their clients.”
